Parents & Carers

Information for Parents and Carers

At King’s College Hospital School, we work closely with parents and carers and value your views. We understand that having a child in hospital can be a challenging time, and clear, supportive communication is an important part of the education we provide.

Parents and carers are welcome to speak with school staff during their child’s time with us. Where appropriate, visits can also be arranged. Considering both previous and future educational placements is central to our work, and we aim to support continuity of learning alongside medical care.

Working With You

We work in partnership with families, clinical teams, home schools and local authorities to support pupils during their hospital stay and to help plan next steps. Staff are available to discuss your child’s education, progress and any questions you may have while they are with us.

Contact

If you would like to talk about your child’s education or arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 020 8777 1897.

The school office can advise on availability and the most appropriate way to get in touch during your child’s time at the hospital.

Requests for Paper Copies of Documents

Paper copies of all documents published on our website are available on request from the school office. Paper copies of additional documents may also be requested.
