Why Choose Our Trust?

The Goldfinch Trust is a specialist multi-academy trust that understands the unique challenges faced by schools supporting learners with medical, mental health or additional needs. We are built on the belief that every child deserves access to meaningful education, even in the most complex of circumstances.

Choosing to join a multi‑academy trust is a significant decision for any school, and we recognise that leaders and governors will want to understand both the practical and educational benefits. At The Goldfinch Trust, our focus is on supporting schools working with learners who have complex medical and mental health needs, bringing both specialist insight and practical expertise to every partnership.

Our trust offers robust central support that complements your local leadership, including:

  • Safeguarding and SEND oversight rooted in specialist practice
  • Expert curriculum guidance tailored to complex settings
  • Dedicated HR, finance and operational services that align with sector standards
  • Governance and compliance support to strengthen confidence and accountability
  • Strategic advice tailored to each school’s context and development

Being part of The Goldfinch Trust means access to a network of professionals and leaders who understand the unique challenges of specialist provision. You will benefit from shared expertise, regular collaboration and systems that help schools operate with clarity and confidence in a constantly evolving educational landscape.

We work with schools to embed consistent, practice‑led systems, ensuring that leaders are supported without losing their school’s character or identity. Our goal is to help schools be confident, compliant and well‑positioned to deliver strong outcomes for learners with additional needs.

If you would like to explore what joining our trust could mean for your school, or to learn more about how we work in partnership, please get in touch at enquiries@goldfinchtrust.uk.
