Safeguarding Policy

Back

Safeguarding is a priority across all schools within The Goldfinch Trust. We are committed to creating safe environments where children and young people are protected, respected and listened to.

All staff receive regular training and are confident in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns. Each school has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of our curriculum, policies and culture.

Our safeguarding practices are compliant with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), and our policies are regularly reviewed by the Trust Board and Local Governing Bodies. We work closely with external agencies to ensure that all concerns are addressed quickly, effectively and in the best interests of the child.

Learner safety is the shared responsibility of everyone in our trust. Through robust systems, clear expectations and a culture of openness, we make sure that safeguarding is not just a process, but a lived reality in every classroom.
