The FIFA World Cup is a global event that brings attention to football, teamwork and the positive role physical activity can play in people’s lives.

Across our Trust, opportunities linked to PE, movement and wellbeing are offered in safe, appropriate and individualised ways, depending on each pupil’s needs, setting and circumstances.

Taking part, where appropriate, can encourage movement, confidence, communication and teamwork. It can also provide opportunities for pupils to develop skills, engage at their own pace and celebrate personal achievements.

Creating Meaningful Opportunities

Staff across our Trust take an individualised approach, ensuring that activities and learning opportunities are accessible, meaningful and appropriate for each pupil.

"Sport has the power to change the world." – Nelson Mandela

As the World Cup continues, it is a timely reminder of the positive role physical activity, shared interests and inclusive opportunities can play in supporting wellbeing and bringing people together safely.

Looking Ahead

Whether following the football closely or simply enjoying the conversations it brings, we wish pupils, staff and families a joyful World Cup season, with plenty of memorable moments along the way.
